Job Title: Architectural Technician

Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Architectural Technician with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in delivering high quality detailed technical design drawings in the residential sector.

Day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include the following:

• Producing high-quality technical and construction drawings using AutoCAD with a good eye for detail.

• Ensuring compliance with the latest Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and client design specifications

• Working closely with the construction and development teams to resolve site queries, manage revisions, and ensure buildability

• Coordinating input from external consultants and reviewing design packages from specialist subcontractors

• Attending site visits and design coordination meetings.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture / architectural technology or a closely related field preferable but not essential.

• Experience with Stage 4 Technical Design building regulations drawings and construction detailing

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification UK experience of residential architectural design, CIAT membership would be preferable

• Experience working on housing / residential schemes of varying scales.

• A working knowledge UK building regulations, technical standards and NHBC guidelines.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite. Experience of Revit preferable but not essential

• Experience in communicating with clients, design, consultants and statutory bodies.

Job Type: This is a full-time permanent office position working a 37 hour week.

Salary negotiable based on experience
